The kids were all some what nervous Sunday night and a few of them had a rough night, then they were all up bright and early ready for the day. I have hit a real milestone this year. 4 children in all day school! The oldest is in 6th grade. I feel so weird about that. She loves her teacher and is planning on having a great year. She told me one of the rules is that boyfriends are not allowed. I think my jaw dropped and I tried to say really calmly, "that sounds alright, don't you think?" "Yeah, I just wanted you to know."- GAG, I'm not ready for any of that.....
So the second is in 4th grade! He is in the same class as his best friend, so life is perfect. He has team teachers that are both "cool". The third child is in 3rd grade. She doesn't know too many kids in her class, just 2 "annoying boys". But her teacher is wonderful and she has already tackled her work that is due next week. And the fourth is in 1st grade. He thinks this is all wonderful and his teacher is great. I think he is mostly excited about all the recesses and eating lunch at school. He is the only one who has brought home work each day....
Just so you know the 5th child will be starting pre-school next week, 3 days a week for 2.5 hrs. What am I going to do by myself on those days? I'm a little excited and a little nervous. I have lots of lists of things to do, but I probably will just read or wander aimlessly around the house.
There have been a bunch of other things happening around here. We got another dog- don't ask- Patch is around a year old and Dutch loves having someone to play with. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law had a baby boy on the 20th. He is darling and we are so glad he is here safe and sound. Congrats to them!
My mother-in-law had knee replacement surgery too. She is doing well and they keep her active with exercises and therapy. What a lady!
My wonderful, talented, crazy husband has finished the room in the basement that has been a storage room, so that we can actually use it- finally! It looks really nice. I have before and after pictures, but my camera is not functioning right now, so I will have to add them later. After that room was complete the man made the decision to start work in the other bedroom and then will move onto the bathroom and then the family room and storage rooms. I am so glad to finally be getting some stuff done, it's just difficult living with things torn up here and there. Never a dull moment around here..... By the way, I'm upset with the Harry Potter movie move- mean people- but that does lead to Twilight movie a few weeks earlier.

P.S. If anyone is interested in new info on Twilight stuff you gotta check out Stephenie's web sight and then there is some really good question and answer stuff on MTV.com. Just so you know.
