Home at Last!

We just returned from a trip to California for some sun, surf and sand! We had a great time just hanging out and getting all sandy on the beach. We took the guys that work for the husband and their families with us. So it was my brother-in-law and his wife and their 4 kids, another couple and a single guy. With 9 kids we may have cured the others of ever having kids. Actually I thought the kids were really good! They just played in the sand and water and got along really well. I enjoyed sitting and watching the kids and the boys play, reading a little, mostly just talking. My sister-in-law is super to put up with me and my family.
On the way home we stopped in Ceder City and got a puppy. He is a walker hound and he is going to be trained to hunt big cats. He is cute and busy, like a puppy. I feel kinda bad he has to be outside and then I think about him in my house and I don't feel so bad anymore. I don't have the patience for that. His name is Dutch- after a character in the movie Predator, or so I'm told. The kids really like him so far and can't leave him alone, poor thing.
Anyway, now we are home and have tons to do in the next two weeks to get ready for school. I'm loven the slide show thing, so here is another one. Thanks for looking!

That looks very fun! Good luck with the puppy--I tried it right after I had Spencer and it didn't work. It would probably work now--:) I miss talking to you--so glad for this.

I'm jealous that you've been to the beach and I haven't. Corona del Mar was our family's favorite beach. Erin and I even had all the freeway exchanges memorized 10 to the 57 to the 5 to the 55 and then the 73. See, one of the most important things a high school girl should know.
