This is where I've been for the past 5 weeks! I've learned a lot and gained about 10 lbs. Time to move onto other things!

Happy Birthday!

This cute little girl had her birthday on the 3rd!
She is such a sweetheart and really tries hard to be good all the time. She loves hanging out with her friends, riding her bike, playing the piano and playing soccer. I can't believe how grown up she is getting! We love you little lady and are so glad you're part of our family!!

17 years Baby!

We celebrated our 17th Anniversary this weekend! We wanted to have the evening to ourselves, so we went up to the Anniversary Inn in Logan and treated ourselves to a wonderful dinner at Madoxx, rest, relaxing and time together with a great lunch the next day at the Beehive grill. We really enjoy being together and focusing on us for a little while. (A very important thing if we want to get through the next 17!)

Families are Forever

For those of you who didn't already know, my niece Julia passed away last week. She fought really hard, but in the end the infection she had could not be treated. We are so sad that she is gone and we hate watching those we love go thorough this horrible thing. Watching them go through this has reminded me of our experience many years ago. Lynn and I have twin boys that were born at 22 weeks. They told me then that there was nothing they could do to help them, so they passed after just a few minutes each. I know that they are such strong spirits that they just needed the opportunity to get a body and then go back home. I know all things happen for a reason, and I believe that we wouldn't have the family we have now if they had lived. This way, I get to have all of them forever. Because of my experience I now have a strong testimony that we are a forever family. I know that we will be able to get to know them and be with them forever. This reminds me on a regular basis that I need to be a better person, so that I will able to see them again. I am grateful for the gospel and the knowledge I have. I know that time helps, but these precious little ones will always be a part of us.

HaPpY BirThDaY WIL!!

Today is Wil's 7th birthday! He jumped right out of bed ready to start this wonderful day! He is a sweet boy and is growning up too fast. He loves being with his friends and family and doing anything he can to stay busy. He loves school, but not the homework and he is learning a little more Spanish every day. I can't call him baby anymore, so Happy Birthday big guy! We are so glad to have you in our family!

Julia

I know that there aren't that many people out there who even look at this, but for those of you who do I just wanted to give a little update on Julia. She has had some rough days, but mostly good ones. She is holding on strong. Her parents are now updating their blog often to keep us all informed. Last week my brother and his wife had their 5th daughter! She was born at just 23 weeks gestation. She weighed 1lb and 4oz and almost 12 inches long. She is doing Remarkable well for one born so early. So far she has not had any bleeding in the brain which is a wonderful thing. She has had a few lung issues, but they are stable now. We are praying each day that things will continue to go well for her. She is so tiny and they say she is a fighter already! (she has to be as a member of her family!) :)
We love her already and know she will be a blessing for all our family. Thank you for all your well wishes and prayers for she and her family!

Dance Recital

Katelyn and Wil had their mid-year dance recital last week. Katelyn is in the highest group on the competition teams. She LOVES to dance and she really likes the girls she dances with. They are really nice girls and they get along well. The competition season starts soon and I think they are all excited.
We agreed that Wil would take a hip-hop class to give him something to do and give him a chance to improve his coordination. He has some work to do, but he is so DANG cute!! (I'm working on getting the video posted,so you can have a good laugh)
When we came out of the recital, I found my van had been hit by another vehicle. LUCKILY the woman was honest and stuck around, so we could exchange information. I have been told everywhere I go, how rare it is to find someone that honest these days. I am so grateful for her honesty. So, right now we have a rental and our van should be done soon. We are loving this new van and the kids all want to keep it, but I think we will stay with the one we own! :) (Not fancy, but no payment :)!)

It's always fun to start the new year with this guy's birthday! Another year has passed and he is now 9! What a great kid. We love him lots and look forward to another wonderful year with him! Alex you are Awesome and we love you!
