Back to Work

So, Lynn went back to work today. I'm kinda sad about this. Surprisingly we have not driven each other crazy being together all the time. I have enjoyed being able to run errands or just get out for a minute and not have to drag anyone with me. I have also enjoyed having someone to talk to whenever the mood strikes and having an excuse to fix something other than mac and cheese for lunch. He has logged on MANY hours on X-BOX and he also got a Playstation 3, so he wouldn't miss out on any friends out there. I think that he was ready to get out of here and have some guy time, and make sure that work is actually getting done. He is doing really well with recovery, ahead of schedule-yeah!

Also, it has been sunny and the snow is melting! That is something that you have to smile at! I've started thinking about some Spring cleaning and projects that need to get done......who knows when I will actually DO anything about it!

Yesterday I took 3 of my kids and went with my sister and her daughter to Lava Hot Springs. It was so much fun. Soaking in hot water for a little over and hour was really relaxing. My skin still feels so soft. I didn't get any pictures because there was too much steam and I didn't want to hurt my camera. We stopped at a local dinner for lunch, it looked like a dive but the food was super! My husband was home with the other 2 kids and they had a good time being boys and having grandma and grandpa bring lunch and visit for awhile. It is so nice to have family close to drop by or go do crazy stuff with. His knee is doing well and stitches come out in 2 days. We will see what he can do after that.

Just a comment about Valentine's Day. First of all my husband and I decided long ago that we didn't need a day to tell each other that we love each other or do something special just because "they" say we should. So we order Chinese take out and usually watch a movie together and we don't give each other anything. I did actually buy him some tulips, just because of surgery and they were so pretty! I did do the normal make sugar cookie hearts for the kids to decorate and I made them heart waffles for breakfast and valentines on their pillows for when they came home from school. That is about it. I love my husband and family so much, I tell them as much as I can, not just one day a year!

Knee surgery

My husband had surgery on his knee today. Back in December he was playing a fun game of basketball with friends. He came down on his leg weird, exactly what happened is still a mystery. I knew it was bad when he stopped at the clinic to check it out on the way home. So, a few days later he went to the specialist and found out that it was a full sever of the ACL and sprained MCL and probably maniscus tear. Anyhow, here we are today and they fixed him up well, he has a few screws in his bones now. He is doing fine and just a little tired. We will see how much pain he is in tomorrow. We are both just happy to have it over and on the road to recovery. He will start physical therapy on Friday. (They don't waste any time.) He is on crutches and he can't even think about working for 2 weeks. Luckily his brother that works with him can take charge and keep things going while he is out. I think it will be fun to have him around. He has grand plans of X-BOX live, hours of uninterupted play, someone getting him whatever he needs, and just kicken' back and relaxing. This should be fun.....

Yesterday was my youngests' 4th birthday! Wow! He is big now. He is so much fun and a real joy. He talks like his big brothers and knows everything they know. That is, about Legos, Star Wars and that kind of stuff. I enjoy our time together just the two of us each day. He is really attached to me and we go everywhere together. It only bothers me sometimes.

It is also my in-laws Anniversary today! 48 years! WOW! They are awesome and we love them lots!

I have to add these pictures of my youngest. He is so cute! I have taught all my children the wonderful art of dunking and enjoying oreos! (my favorite! yumm!)

Winter Wonderland

I have lived in Utah my whole life and we have not had this much snow since I was a child. It is fun to explain to my kids that this is what I remember winters to be like. They have really gotten to understand the reasons for gloves, boots, sleds and shovels. I have to admit I was not prepared for all of this. I loved the white Christmas and the areas we drive have been well taken care of. I am just tired of it now. It worries me every time I back out the drive or try to turn a corner I can't see around, because of all the snow piles. Hopefully we are at the end.

Well, I guess it is my turn to try this whole blog thing.....
(Don't expect too much too soon. I am so not computer savy!)
I've decided I enjoy looking at family and friends blogs so
much, maybe someone would like knowing what is going on
in this crazy place I call my world.
