Easter, finally

So here are some pictures from the Easter Egg hunt at my parents. The kids had a great time finding the eggs with clues and then the end reward is candy all over grandma's house, courtesy of the Easter bunny. We had a fun time being with cousins and eating treats. We came back on Sunday for dinner and more visiting. We were lucky enough to see a calf born! My dad was beaming, the perfect Easter! All the kids wanted to name the calf, so dad had them put their suggestions into a bowl and then he will draw a name for each calf that is born. (more are expected soon) We then went to another Egg hunt with the other family, but I can't figure out how to get my pictures from the new camera to the computer. (yeah, I'm pathetic!) It was such a nice weekend for Easter and today it is snowing, that is March in Utah!

Disneyland Adventure pictures

Disneyland Adventure

A little over a week ago Lynn had the idea that we should all go to Disneyland. We have discussed doing this at some time this year, but were leaning to going in the fall. Well, his work schedule changed and we just decided to go now. We did not tell the kids what we were planning. At first, because we didn't know if we could actually do it, then I just decided that it would be even more fun to surprise them. So last Thurs we put the kids in the car and told them we were going to dinner. After eating we started driving to the airport. By the time we got to Layton they were wondering what was going on. We told them we were getting on a plane and then going to Disneyland. They thought we were joking and Brayden even said that this was the cruelest joke we have ever played. By the time they realized we were serious they got nervous about riding on a plane. They were really good and I think they really enjoyed the flight. Wil sat and looked out the window the whole time. At one point he turned to me and said "this is the greatest day of my life!" It was all worth it just for that! Anyway, we had a great time! The kids were really good and they really had fun! Brayden and Alex both were able to become Jedi's. That was cool. We rode the new Nemo ride, most of us thought it was fun. Wil was almost able to ride the big rides. One day they let him on Splash Mtn. but the next they didn't, go figure, he didn't seem to mind too much. It was a crazy and fun adventure!

I'm Tired....

My sister's sister-in-law got married today, so I told my sister I would watch her three kids so she could go and enjoy. Her kids are 3, 2 and 4mos. I forget how fun and challenging babies are. She is a sweet thing, but did not want me to put her down for long. Luckily the other two were very entertained by my kids. I sat here reflecting on the fact that I did this every day for many years, why does it seem so much harder now? I think I need a nap. Then maybe I will try and get laundry done. The other problem is I went to see a show with my mom and then we talked for awhile, so I didn't get to bed until late. We saw Penelope. I really enjoyed it, super cute!

Weekend Review

Saturday my oldest son had his last basketball game of the season. Lynn has been coaching with my brother helping. They didn't win, but Brayden did make a basket! Wahoo!
Then that night we went to hunting and outdoors dinner/auction/raffle. Lynn sponsored a table and three other couples were with us. Basically it is for the hunting and gun enthusiast to get together and try to win prizes or bid on things. The dinner and visiting was alright, it was the auction and drawings for close to 3 hrs that was not so fun! I did get lucky and win a digital camcorder in the ladies drawing! (we are so unlucky and have never won anything!) One of the couples at our table won 2 rifles and the other couple won a gun too. Lynn got a gun for sponsoring the table. So it didn't end up a total waste of time. *For the record, Lynn is not a real hunter or gun collector, just wanted to get in on the chance to win things and have fun with friends.*
